nighttime nightmare airplane ride—wow. We got ourselves in over our heads with a red eye flight from Houston to Phoenix with a stop over in SLC. Holy cow. Holding Levi at times was like trying to hold a wild cat. He did not like having his freedom confined to a stuffy airplane seat. Both boys were seriously wiggly and they both fell asleep right before the plane landed in SLC and we had to wake them up for the next leg of the journey and again they fell asleep right before the plane landed in Phoenix and it was terrible to have to wake them up again and wait around for our baggage and then load them into the car. Levi fell asleep again, but Isaac was wired for the night. Ay caramaba.
We had a great time in Phoenix with Matt and Lara and their kids. Mathew and Levi were like two peas in a pod. They seriously played better together than any two kids their age that I’ve seen before. And they would really interact with each other and squeal and chase each other and throw balls to each other—it was uncontrollably cute for sure.
We spent Christmas with my dad and Sheila in Snowflake. Jenny and Freddy came too and it was fun to have a sibling reunion. We were worried about taking the kids up into the really cold weather but somehow they survived. Mathew did get a bad ear infection though—pobrecito.
