Jumble Week
May 19-May25, 2008
Well, this week my update on the kids is going to be a bit jumbled. We’ve been in high gear packing and getting ready to move mode and I’ve put writing on the back burner. Speaking of the burner, James finally fixed our stove top (the one that fried when our fondue creation went awry and the water boiled over and melted some wires). Anyhow—he had to order a bunch of different parts and I was amazed at his electrical ability. It’s a miracle he was able to fix the crazy contraption.
Monday night we went swimming with the Morford’s in their apartment complex pool and it was the kick off swim of the season.
On Thursday I took the boys swimming at Maribel’s house in the morning and Isaac was in pure heaven. He absolutely loves swimming and he loved being there with all of his “Spanish storytime friends.” The weather was great and Levi didn’t want to get in at first, but he finally splashed his toes around and then couldn’t resist going to the next level. Amerika even came with Ruth and brought a yummy fruit salad.
Levi now says “das cute” and “read dis” and “eat dis” and “vamos!” he’s amazingly adorable. More new words—juice, cheese stick, up, book, stuck, apple. His receptive language in Spanish is great too—you can ask him “donde esta la manzana” and he’ll point to the apple.
